just thought i should bring this to attention for other schools looking at getting a school minibus like the one we got and are suffering with its lack of backup/help from castle-minibus .

we are a small private school in Liverpool and got a ford transit 17 seat on a 64 plate and are having a terrible time with it we and as fords say and the RAC saying that these buses out for lease are not fit for purpose for schools that do little miles/or small runs our experience has been a fault that has regular issues as vehicle going into a limp mode and being diagnosed as a DPF filter problem after numerous breakdowns and no help from suppliers castle-minibus for a replacement vehicle as the lease vehicle goes off the road we get left to hire temp vehicles while they repair the lease vehicles another problem we find is that the vehicle has an AD-BLUE system on it that was also not brought to our attention before we got the vehicle and this is a added extra that they do not inform us about which is roughly needs filling around 1100 miles {hidden cost}on top of fuel bills .we have had this vehicle for 2 years now and have occurred additional hire cost of other vehicles in the sum around extra 5k as castle don't think they should supply a replacement vehicle while there vehicle they lease spends so much time in garages,yet again our vehicle has gone back into ford with same fault as usual and still castle aren't facing up to it that these ford transit euro buses aren't fit for short journeys and there answer to it is that you are expected to run the bus down the motorways frequently to have there buses run correct {more expense }nice bus but not suitable for small runs.
